Questioning life?

Have you guys ever wondered that other than this earth, could there be some other planet where there is life? What is actually life? Because if you see life is just a word and we have added meaning onto it. Imagine the universe without the earth. Its so hard to imagine that. Like if there's no earth, then there are no living beings, and no living beings at all means nothing at all. So what is there to the universe? What is the purpose of everything? We get sad over things, we get happy over things, but if you look from far away, no, more far away, no, even more far away, then what is the meaning of all our problems and emotions? We are here, living just by chance. We wouldnt even be here if that little tiny tiny prokaryote wouldn't have eaten another photosynthetic prokaryote and the first step towards life wouldn't have been taken. But it did eat that other prokaryote. It did evolve and adapt and grow and moulded a tiny microscopic cyanobacteria into what we now call 'living beings'. This is now called the Endosymbiotic theory of evolution. It is just a predicted theory. Although I find it much more believable than all other theories. One such theory which I find good enough only to fantasize about and not something which could have actually happened is the Theory of Special Creation. Maybe some of you know about it and even agree with it and that's of course okay. But I don't find it plausible. So this theory says that there is a special and powerful creature called God and he is the one who planted a seed of life and so grew the vast tree of life. So different religions and cultures have different Gods doing this work. And that's what I find funny about this theory. If suppose the whole world would have agreed that there is one God and he created the world then it would've been believable upto some extent. But 100s of different religions say that their God is the one who actually formed life. And how do we choose the right one and on what basis. There's no proof. Now you may argue that "no, there is proof...we have the scriptures and stories.." but then I would say what is the proof that that scripture says true things. This could go on. Because we dont know what actually created life. All we have are theories which are just trying to get closer and closer to how life actually came about and this search will go on even in the future.
So there's one more theory which I find believable again (see, that's what i am talking about...you can choose to believe one or many theories and it would not make a difference because the truth still remains unknown). Ok so this theory says that there were all these inorganic molecules like nitrogen, water, methane etc. in the atmosphere 4 million ya. And when these inorganic molecules were subjected to the extreme temperatures and lightnings of that period, these inorganic molecules were converted into organic ones. And these organic molecules then formed began forming molecules like adenine and guanine which are the nitrogen bases that form our DNA and hence began the life. And many scientists like Halden and Oparin have actually performed experiments where they maintained the conditions as they were 4 million ya and they did get life being formed from (metaphorically) nothing.
I think we could go on and on about how life came into existence and that'll be absolutely alright because its not like the first living organism on earth left us a plethora of evidences to deduce any conclusions from. So we will keep on guessing and maybe one day we will get really close to it but till then we must remember the enormity of life and yet its microscopity ( is that even a word?). I am not saying cherish your life and all, but do keep in mind that what you are as a human being (with reference to biology), is completely credited to that first little ( might be even large?) organism who lived. This might help us to stay planted on the ground and forget all the superior feelings we have over other living things.
Peace.
